Rita Foumia

Rita Foumia, C.P.A.: President

After graduating from Wayne State University with a Degree in Business Administration, Rita started her professional career in 1993 as an accountant for an Oil and Gas company. She later decided to pursue a career in public accounting and earned her CPA while working for an accounting firm in Troy Michigan. Currently, Rita serves as Director of Corporate Strategy for a publishing company based in Troy.  She joined CALC in 2006 and has been an active member since then. Her intense commitment to the organization led her to positions on the  Advisory Board and later the Executive Board.  With many community interests, Rita also volunteers at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church as a Catechism teacher, for Eastern Catholic Re-Evangelization Center, Children’s Hospital of Michigan and other social service organizations in the metro-Detroit area.


 

Lisa Paulus

Lisa Paulus: Vice President

Lisa Paulus graduated from Wayne State University with a Degree in Business Administration, and started her professional career in 1993 as an accounting clerk for Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Michigan. She worked her way up to Accounting Manager at Coke and assisted in managing 3 of their Distribution Centers in Michigan.  After 8 years at Coca-Cola, Lisa decided to pursue an opportunity as a Finance Director at a publishing company, BNP Media, based in Troy.  Lisa has worked at BNP Media for the last 12 years.

She joined CALC in 2006 and has been an active member, a volunteer and chaired the Christmas Family Program along with her sister Rita for the past 7 years.  She has been serving on the Advisory Board since 2007.  Lisa also volunteers at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church as a 4th Grade Catechism teacher, for Eastern Catholic Re-Evangelization Center, and several other service organizations in the community.  Lisa has been married to Nofal Paulus and just celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary.


 

Julie Garmo

Julie Garmo: Secretary

Julie has been volunteering for the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity for over twenty years. Encouraged by one of the organization’s founders, her uncle the late Bishop George Garmo, Julie has been an active member since 1986. She has served on the Executive Board as Secretary and Treasurer as well as a member of the Advisory Board. Professionally, she is the travel supervisor on the Volkswagen of America account for BCD Travel of Southfield, Michigan.


 

Lillian McKay Shallal

Lillian McKay Shallal: Treasury

Lillian is a graduate of Wayne State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the School of Journalism. Currently, Lillian is Office Manager for the law firm of Mekani, Orow, Mekani, Shallal and Hindo. She has been married for 31-years and is the mother of four children. Lillian was an active CALC member and volunteer for 8 years before being asked to serve on the Advisory Board. She was elected to the Executive Board in 2009


Suhair Kallabat

Suhair Kallabat

Originally from San Diego, Suhair leads a life consisting of faith, family and charity.  She has been married for 20- years and is the mother of four beautiful children.  She holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California San Diego and owns her own event coordination business, Eventfully Yours.

She is an active member of the community, serving as Vice President of the PTSA at Walled Lake Central High School as well as volunteering for the St. Thomas Church Communion program and the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity.

Dalia Kejbou

Dalia Kejbou, Esq

Dalia Rasha Kejbou is an attorney who has been practicing law in the State of Michigan since 2001.  She went

to Oakland University for undergrad where she received her Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Political Science and minor in Biology.  She graduated with honors from Oakland University and then went to Wayne State University Law School where she graduated with a degree of Juris Doctor.   Mrs. Kejbou started her own law firm in 2002 shortly after graduation and has been practicing law ever since.

 

She currently practices in the City of Bloomfield Hills and focuses on Immigration law, Divorce, Real Estate law and Federal Long Shoreman’s Act.  She has been a member of the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity since 2010 and proudly serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity for the past 2 years. Mrs. Kejbou is also an owner of the Lexi Drew Boutiques located in Birmingham and the MGM Grand Detroit, for the last 7 years.  Aside from being a full time practitioner, Mrs. Kejbou is a dedicated wife and mother of three.


 

Nidhal Rassam

Nidhal Rassam

Nidhal Rassam has been a volunteer for the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity and has been a reserve for many years. She dedicates her free time working to help others. Nidhal has been married to Isam Rassam for the past 33-years and is the proud mother of three children and a grandmother to a precious baby girl. Nidhal has years of entrepreneurial experience. She has owned several businesses and is the current owner of Elite Home Health Care. Nidhal believes in the vision of CALC and is dedicated to helping the Chaldean Community.


 

Firyal Yono

Firyal Yono

Firyal has been a member and volunteer of the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity for over 20-years.  Firyal is a former CALC Vise President and has served on the Advisory Board for many years.  Firyal is a Licensed Social Worker & Funeral Director at Southfield Funeral Home.  She received her Bachelor’s & Mortuary of Science Degrees from Wayne State University in 1985 & 1986 and also attended Madonna College for Graduate Studies in Chemical Dependency in 1988.  Firyal is a founding member & organizer of the Chaldeans Against Drugs and the Chaldean Youth Club.  She has served on the Parish Council at Mother of God Church and as a Board Member of the Building Bridges, a Chaldean & Jewish Community Initiative.  She has been married to Jerry Yono for 32 years, has 5 children and 12 grand children.  Firyal serves on a number of CALC committees, including the Senior Citizen and Nursing Home Committees.

Reem Sesi

Reem Sesi

Reem has been a member of the Chaldean American Ladies of charity for over 20 years as an active volunteer and Advisory Board member for many years before being asked to join the CALC Executive Board. Reem has been married to Ramy Sesi for the past 25-years and is the proud mother of 3 wonderful children. She believes very strongly in giving back to the Chaldean community, she has instilled this in her children who have also volunteered with the CALC events. Reem is a huge supporter of the CALC and it’s mission. This is Reem’s second year as co-chair for the CALC’s Shopping Extravaganza and the Charity Gala.
